Hello and welcome to my page.

 

My name is Lauren Dye and I am a freelance writer and poet from Teesside in the North East of England.  I have recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Teesside  with a focus on poetry.  My interests lie in finding ways of representing the body, relationships and truth in writing.

 

I have decided to write this blog to try to explain my writing process, my likes and dislikes, and what makes me write what I write.  I have three main poetry pages.  My Poems will tell you where my poems are being published, or where I am performing.

In Reviews I will talk about the poems that I am reading and what I think about them.  I will also sometimes upload my own poems written in response to these poems.

Finally I have the Projects section, in which I will be detailing the poems I am currently working on and how I am developing them.  I will upload stages of my work and the inspiration and prompts that I will be working on, with a commentary of what I feel I need to include or change as the poem develops.  This is also the section which I encourage you as readers and fellow poets to participate and work alongside me.
